The week was primarily getting going with some renovations of Samy and Danilo’s Church in Gardens, Cape Town. I offered to help them as it's difficult when they are so far away in Switzerland.
So, Hendrik and his son Fernando set up camp. We went and bought food and building supplies and we were off.
Then I had some time to quickly pop into Mervin to check on the latest ceramic piece.

Standing it up straight, so that I can turn it over.

Chad getting in on the job.

Here is a photo in the making.

Smoothing off the bumps.

Inspecting the first four.

Richie also delivered some new keyrings for me.
Tuesday the kids were off to the UK for a holiday, so I packed up some art for James at Kaizen Gallery, as Richie agreed to take it over for me as extra luggage. Teaching him the ropes of a traveling salesman.

Angelina's car was the only car that I could fit the parcel into.

Angelina being Angelina.

And there off.

Richie, Angelina and James. James met up with them at Heathrow to collect the parcel of art.
Wednesday I also started the I LOVE LUGANO piece in the studio.

Here we go.

Messing about with a Lugano Newspaper.

I did this mock-up of the blue animals work in pink on my computer for a potential client.

Studio 16 came in this week for a minor restoration.

The back. The reason for the blue string is around 2010/2011 my eldest sister Susan passed away. I struggled to deal with it to the point where all seven of my staff members decided to move on as there was no work. So, when I finally buried myself in my work, I decided to add a blue string to each of the works that I created, for about a year.
Thursday I was in town again, but this time just to drop Joanne and then it was time to go see Henry at his Gallery at Lourensford Wine Farm.

The amazing Henry.

Spotted these beauties.

Photo of a photo.
Then off to have lunch with Les. I am helping him design a label for a wine he has made for his granddaughter.

Showing Les how it is done.

Doodling.
It was great to see Les.
I also got to see George and his dad Giorgio while lunching at Pane Vino. The food was amazing as always.
After lunch, we headed back to pick Joanne up and then home.
Friday we headed out to the Rusk Factory shop in Paarden Island to get our monthly stash. Then we picked Chad up to take him to IMM University to register him for the second semester. He got two A’s for his subjects. Setting the bar high for the rest of the family.
Then it was time for a quick celebratory lunch at Punjab, the Indian restaurant opposite Pane Vino where I was the day before.

Joanne and Chad getting ready for Indian.
The we were off to chill at home.

I did this mock up for a client in England.
Saturday we decided to do admin at home and today, Sunday, is the same. Joanne just got her admin done and is now cooking bolognaise sauce two ways and I made a quick Pok Choy Vegetable soup. The fire is going and it is time to chill as the kids are all doing their own things this weekend.
Thank you for reading.
Until next week.
