Monday I managed to get the Muizenberg Beach huts going properly. Hendrik did a great job prepping them to my specifications. It was also nearing month end, so I had to do the numbers.

Allocating different colours.

Main table in the studio with all the small works made up from the wood that made up the Muizenberg beach huts.
Yeah, I finally got to go into town this week. Tuesday was the lucky day.
It was good to get out and about.

First stop was John at Hout Bay Gallery to drop off a Road Sign Artwork.

2nd Stop was Jacques to drop off art for the Somerset Hospital Charity event Saturday night. I had to stop here and take a photo of my favourite building in the world. Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa. The old grain silo converted into an art gallery/museum.

Then I went for a haircut. I walked past this building where in 2006-2010, I had many exhibitions that launched my career with VEO Gallery.

Then it was time to check in on my bicycle repairs.
Tuesday was 21st July. The day, seven years ago, when I met the love of my life, my soulmate and best friend Joanne. A year ago, we got married and live happily ever after.
Each year we decide to go to a Bertus Basson restaurant as we first met at Overture, which was his flagship restaurant seven years ago. This year we chose Ongetem, as they were running a steak Beer special and Bertus does make good steak and good beer.

I love you babe.

Margarita starters then Steak and beer.

Joanne and I still trying to find the best Margarita.
Wednesday was a blur. Oh, the maids came to clean and I remember sitting on the couch doing sales.

Cutting out the "r" from a few t-shirts to make one t-shirt. Pics to follow.

The evidence.
Thursday, Hendrik and I decided to go forage for wood. We got hold of a permit from the parks board and were off. We managed to get three loads in which will last me till the end of winter. Even Frans came along and helped us.

Hendrik, Frans and I foraging for wood. It's very rewarding. Spot the Pelicans migrating.

Wonderful to see a flock of Pelicans.

Zooming in to create a beautiful silhouette.
Friday I decided to fix the Caddy. We bought new matting and other odds and ends and we spent most of the morning fixing it up.

Also rewarding to fix your own car. Gonna look brand new.
Joanne arranged a Medical Aid blood test at the clinic. Something about better options on the Medical Aid. She’s good with stuff like that.

Daniel sent me this pic. If you know then you know.
Saturday was probably the laziest Saturday Joanne and I had in ages. Joanne got a run in and we did manage to go for a walk on the beach.
Sunday was the same. I got the fire going and made us some coffee. Joanne plucked up the courage to do a run and then we potted around the house. I did plant about 200 chili and green, red and yellow seeds in the garden and the new plant boxes I purchased. It’s a little early as spring is a month away, but I have enough seeds to experiment.
Joanne's brother, Ian, popped in for a hello and some lunch. It was good to catch up with him.
I did the blog while Joanne chatted some more.
Now were chilling on the couch after playing backgammon on the deck RICHARD 3 - 0 JOANNE.
But Joanne beat me with Rummy.
Until next week, time to chill and watch a movie and absorb the yummy Sunday sun.
Until next week
