    Richard Scott Panels

    Saturday morning working on new wall installations in Steel, resin, rubber and lots of other cool funky materials. Watch this space.

    In creative mode for the new sculpture panels for the Richard Scott concept store - The Carl Smyth Collection. Starting with Nine Lives. Standing cat. Each panel will consisting of nine cutouts of cats - ala - Nine Lives a Cat lives. The panels will be 200cm high and 100cm wide and +- 5cm think depending on material used. The panels will be able to be suspended from the ceiling or hung on a wall. Laser cut steel, Moulded rubber and Resin will be the primary materials. The panels will be derivative of the popular wooden cat sculptures Richard did in 2004. The one that got him into the Finals of the Brett Kebble Art Awards. Design is done of computer and then sent to laser cutters who use either Laser technology or Water jets to cut the cats out.
