Everything you needed to complete the painting was right there in front of you.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;\"\u003eYou \u003ci\u003ecould\u003c\/i\u003e break the glass and complete the painting, but in doing so, you would destroy the artwork itself.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;\"\u003eYou weren’t supposed to. That was the point.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;\"\u003eYears later, in 2019, I visited Wiesbaden in Germany, where I came across a graffiti festival that inspired me to start my own Graffiti Series back in South Africa.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;\"\u003eThree years later, while on site doing a graffiti installation, I spotted a red \u003cb\u003eBREAK GLASS IN CASE OF EMERGENCY\u003c\/b\u003e fire box and suddenly joined the dots.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;\"\u003eWhy not take my original idea and reinvent it in graffiti form?\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;\"\u003eA spray can.\u003cbr\u003eA stencil.\u003cbr\u003eA hammer.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;\"\u003eAll locked behind glass.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;\"\u003eYou can break the glass, take out the spray can and stencil, and complete the artwork.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;\"\u003eBut should you?\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;\"\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;\"\u003eAnd so, \u003cb\u003eBREAK GLASS BOX\u003c\/b\u003e was born.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;\"\u003eI decided to produce just \u003cb\u003e47 editions\u003c\/b\u003e.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;\"\u003eThe temptation is yours.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;\"\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%;\"\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"RichardScottShop","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":39391712935985,"sku":"","price":12075.0,"currency_code":"ZAR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0188\/7682\/products\/2.jpg?v=1626767066","url":"https:\/\/www.richardscott.com\/products\/break-glass-freedom","provider":"RichardScottShop","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
