Richard Scott Weekly Blog - 19th April 2026

This week was fast and furious. I looked on my phone for photos to share and there is only the photos of me working on the pieces for Cape Diem Lodge. So, I will not bore you with all the mundane things I did this week. Probably going to be a record for the shortest blog.

See you there.

My dad sent me a pic of his mom, and we were talking last Sunday about family and grandparents.

My dad's mom Olive, 1914-1956. This photo was taken in 1940, and yes my dad did use AI to add colour.

I also don’t want to share the photos with you of the Cape Diem Lodge pieces as I want to complete about 12 in the series before we launch. I will share one of them with you.

Sneak Peak 1.

Sneak Peak 2.

I only went into town on Friday, that’s how busy I was in the studio with the new series.

The rain started Friday and winter hit us over the entire weekend. I am sitting here in front of the fire, yes the annual fire is now lit, while there is a storm of note outside.

So, Friday I ran some errands around town. The usual ones. Then it was time to pick Joanne up and head home in the rain.

Cape Agulhas print sold. Measuring up for a client.

Saturday we chilled a bit and then went for lunch with Joanne’s brother Paul and Candice to celebrate Candice’s Birthday. After that we popped to the waterfront and got me some really needed t-shirts for the Sardinia trip. Then back home to watch a movie under the blanket.

Happy Birthday Candice.

Joanne treating me to a Lindt Ice-cream.

Sunday was the same. Joanne cooked up a storm as we were having roast beef for Sunday lunch. I helped out a little, got the fire going and here I am typing to you.

Angelina sending me Camping photos. She was out in the rain with her friends camping for the weekend.

Joanne taking pictures of me watching my rain. :)

So that’s it for this week.

Thank you for reading and watching.
