Monday was Easter so nothing got done except rest.
We did manage to do our fourth day running on the beach.
I finished the Elon Musk book and started Atomic Habits by James Clear.

Easter Monday Doodles.
The studio stayed closed for the fourth day running so no art news.

My Desk.

Joanne and I had four large mushrooms in the fridge, so we decided to do a mushroom cook off to complement the Easter Monday Lamb meal we were gonna have.

I opted for crispy mushrooms. While Joanne opted for a onion, chili and veg topping with cheese.

Flame cooking the lamb.

Competition is on.

Both tasted equally good., but Joanne won with flavour.

Monday night we were You Tubing Venice street food and were watching Jamie Oliver and Hey-Ho, they turned to most experienced chef in Venice and we couldn't believe it, it was our friend, Enrica. Small world.
Tuesday was a bit tough after taking a real break over Easter. I did manage to do a studio tour and then finish off the paper in the printer before they come collect it.
Hendrik took the mould apart on the epoxy piece. It turned out quite cool.

First Draft.

Tuesday we decided to make some sweet potatoe and pea curry in rootie wraps with tuna on the side.

Joanne made the Sweet Potato and pea curry.

I spiced and flour-ed the tuna and shallow fried it.

Joanne did her simple rootie breads and bingo.

Nomm Nomm.
Wednesday was Joanne’s birthday. We both took the day off and just chilled.
Joanne did forage in the garden and made us some yummy tomato sauce for pasta or bread.
The kids came over to wish her and had cake. The rest of the day was cards and books and a few good movies.
Happy Birthday to my beautiful wife Joanne.
Thursday morning, we managed to finish off two new works on paper.

i love me! New piece on paper with gold acrylic paint and then graffiti spray paint on top.

Bit messy, but that's part of the graffiti art style.

Graffiti on TYVEK.

Grey Tammy on paper. 1/1

Green and Blue Joyride on paper. Also 1/1.

Green and Turquoise Joyride 1/1.
Joanne worked form home as I booked La Colombe in Constantia for her Birthday experience. It was nice.

Here we go.

Happy Birthday babe.

La Colombe means "The Dove", hence the bird theme. These are part of the Wild Boar starters.

The attention to detail is phenomenal.

Namibian Red Crab.

False Bay Market Fish.

Rose for desert.

All the medals on the cabinet.
I also booked us at the lodge as we had an invite to supper as well with Iris, Moritz and Bina in Bantry Bay.
We chilled at the lodge for an hour after La Colombe and then Uber-ed to Iris for a wonderful catch up and supper.

Great supper with Iris and the family.

Simple, but delicious spaghetti bolognaise.

Even Iris has a Richard Scott sticker on her phone.
Friday was breakfast at the lodge and then some admin on our own private balcony and then home via the shops. I was not feeling to well, so I just chilled on the couch reading my book.

Why buy wrapping paper when you can make it.

Getting in on the fun.
Saturday was the same. Rest and read.
Sunday we managed to get a slow beach run in. I messed about in the studio a little while Joanne potted around the house. Then we headed off to Chads place to celebrate Deans 22nd Birthday.

Joanne split a little bleach on her new top, so she asked me to paint some hearts over the bleach.

Happy Mom.

Playing "How well do you know Dean" KAHOOT'S.

Big Happy Family
