Monday was the same as all Mondays. Admin and the likes.

I did these Joyride sketches over a decade ago and only gave them colour this week.

Circular works piling up for that day in the future when this medium becomes a trend.

Local police helicopter doing the usual fly over to see the pool. :) Its known as a Squirrel and the police own 38 of them, but only 5 are airborne.

There she goes.

However, Tuesday I was toying with a bronze cat sculpture and fixing it on top of one of the many construction poles I have lying around the studio. I kinda have a thing for Construction Stuff. I did a sketch. And then thought of my new friend, ChatGPT. Can you believe that in 2 minutes this turned these two photos into the artworks below. 

I put these two images in and got this out:

Nailed it. Exactly how I envisaged them. Now to go into production.

Wednesday I completed the new dinky series I did. Each little piece has 10 candy stripes instead of 5 each. That’s about all the news form Wednesday.

Thursday morning I had a meeting with Angela and Andrew, the Trustees of the Muizenberg Beach Hut Trust. They were so impressed with the art and the project that we decided to do an exhibition and other on the coming months. So watch this space.

After that, I popped out to deliver some art and popped into the brewery to see Andre. Only Andre was in Hospital from falling off the roof inside the brewery. I got all the news from Mira and then proceeded to give him a “Minimise your risks” lecture, but I didn’t as he was in surgery with a broken ankle.

Friday we popped into go see Andre at Hospital. He was in good spirits. We then headed out to the Biscuit Mill and then home.

Saturday I woke up and Joanne suggested we go to Greyton one last time as the Caddy is sold and I need to fetch a large Artwork at the Gallery that needed touch-ups. So, we were off nice and early. Early enough to catch the market open and get some of our favourite supplies: John’s Bread, Lang Baken Cheese, Daniels Eggs and Mustard, and some honey and biltong from the “Honey and Biltong” Lady. 

These canola fields remind me of a young Richie, as it's his birthday month when I see the yellow fields.

Yeah, we were in time to get some of John's bread.

Got to see Daniel and his wife.

Then we popped in to see Frik, the owner of The Greyton Trading Post. Frik has redone the entire place and added 2 new rooms and an outside courtyard. It was looking spectacular.

Then we went to fill up as the Caddy was empty. Yikes, the petrol station in Greyton was getting an overhaul and there was no petrol.

Almost got caught out. Eeeeek

I kinda panicked in my head and did a quick calculation how far it was to Caledon, which was on the way back home. I reckon we just made it by 100meters. School boy error all in aid of getting to Johns Bread before it sold out.

We filled up and headed home via Peregrine for their famous ginger shots, date slices, Keifer milk and some of them Kromco Apples. Best apples in the world.

We got home and caught up. I made a fire and we chilled on the couch and played Backgammon. It was so good we forgot to watch the Rugby.

Sunday turned out to be a nice day. I just planned my week ahead in the art world and am now typing to you. 

My week looks like this:

1.     Follow up with galleries

2.     Work on the large bronze

3.     Order new stickers

4.     Get Orms to print a new brochure

5.     Follow up with TACHEN books

6.     Work on the Brugge Football shirt project for Paul at Colmant

7.      Do two more pieces in the Muizenberg Beach Hut series

8.     GO to Muizenberg and scout out a location for Exhibition etc.

9.     And the list goes on

Ok, I am gonna finish up and enjoy the rest of my Sunday. I must also call mom as she turns 82 today.
