Monday morning, we woke up to a thin black layer of soot all over the place. The nice white pool was covered in it. I checked on the neighbourhood groups and most people had the same. It could only have been the huge Eskom diesel generators north east of the house. The wind was blowing from that direction on Saturday and Sunday and there was the perfectly fine drizzle to make all the diesel fumes come raining down on us. I took some samples in case there was an enquiry. That was the highlight of the day. Art wise I focused on some of the smaller gold works on paper.

Tuesday, I popped into town. First stop was John to chat about the large bronzes which was great. John is very clever 😊 then I ran around town dropping and picking up.
I collected Joanne at 2.30 and we were off to see Iqbal to give him a gift. Iqbal’s company owns the jazz festival and he have us some VVIP tickets for this year’s event. I repurposed the tickets and made a cool artwork for him to say thank you.

Dr Iqbal Survé, Joanne and I.

This is the artwork I did.
Guess who we spotted on the way to Iqbal.

The man himself, Mark Copeland.
Wednesday I spent the whole day on the Bronzes Presentation. I also did some more research on the tainting of the ceramic vases.

This is a sketch of the front page of my catalogue.

How cool is the White Powder coated Artwork?

All the different Bronze Patinas.
I also worked on the Emirates First Class makeover of their aeroplane and the lounge in Dubai. I let ChatGPT do all the work. Now I just need to get it in front of the right people. Do you know anyone at Emirates?

My Emirates Proposal.

Corporate Ideas for end of the year gifts.

Prepping more Muizenberg pieces. I have an Idea.

This is my idea.
Thursday was a repeat of Wednesday. Richie headed up north to his new home in Johannesburg and his new life as a commercial airline Pilot with Airlink. He got there all safely and was straight into it. Happy and proud dad.

Richie asked me to do him an artwork with these. When his 3D printer changes a colour, it spits this out after it has changed colour.
Friday, we had to take Joanne’s car in for a service. I lifted her home in the Caddy as she was working from home Friday.
I sent Hendrik and Frans out to run some errands for me while I finalised that Presentation. I will share it with you soon.
On the way home from dropping Joanne to collect her car, she stopped off and got our favourite fish and chips for supper. It was NOMM NOMM.
They give you such a big portion of chips that I had a chip buttie for Saturday lunch and another one for Sunday brunch.
Saturday we were lazy. We decided to press a reset button as Summer was on the way and go for a swim in the sea. It was awesome. Cold, but awesome. Then we prepped the famous Richard Scott four Chicken curries for Sunday lunch. Tikka Chicken, Garam Barsnip Chicken, Butter Chicken and Biryani Potato Chicken.

Saturday foraging. Joanne is gonna make Kale and Fennel soup.

Replanting onions.
The rest of the Saturday day was books and backgammon.
Sunday we had beach run and then warmed up Sunday lunch and the rest is history.
Thanks for reading and watching.
