This week was all but gone in the blink of an eye. The main reason is Shombie was here from Germany and I am gonna help him set up camp here and also help him set up a business for when he emigrates here. I was introducing him to my auditor and other business partners in the field he is in. I was so busy I only got to post my blog Monday morning.
I did get to start another set of smaller works for the Cape Diem Series. 5 in total. We also finished off the Mandy Bronze Marquette. There were still visible joining lines.

Photo Shoot for the online shop. The remaining ones are on the table.

Gold Money Tree in the making.

Mandy is getting there.

Measuring up these small bags that are used to keep the dice and cups in for the Backgammon Boards.
Tuesday was cold so I lit a fire. Winter seems to be hanging on a bit. We also got rain most of the week. Nonetheless, I started the Petrol Can Series on Tuesday. I have a client in Johannesburg who wants me to paint the girls on them for his man cave. Quite a cool Idea. They are round, so I went out and bought some vinyl so we could make round stencils.
Wednesday, I picked Shombie up and we went to go see my auditor so he could set up a company and be appointed to run the books. Then I took him to go see Richard Lurie from The Excellence Group. Richard kindly gave us his time and explained all the pitfalls to Shombie with the business he wants to set up. Richard was very transparent and knowledgeable. You can see why he is successful.

Shombie and I discussed business at SHIFT Espresso. My Favourite Coffee Bar.
I got home after dropping Shombie at the Waterfront, to meet up with a new client from Ballito in Kwazulu Natal. I did the studio tour and he asked me to do an installation piece in his house in Ballito. So that was awesome news for the day.

Meet Snow, a new collector of my work.

Snow also scooped up the last 2 Red Ana Decanters.
Joanne came home and we celebrated with some bubbles while I made some more Sardinia salted tomatoes (Pomodori Secchi sotto sale).

Nomm Nomm Roma tomatoes with extra coarse salt this time. Let's see.
Thursday was my beautiful daughter Angelina’s 21st Birthday. Joanne and I woke her up with cupcakes and some candles and sing song. We then drove to Big Bay to go have an early morning celebratory cold swim in the ocean. It was amazing. I need to do this once a week.

Happy 21st Birthday Angelina at 5.37am in the morning.
We said our goodbyes as Angelina had a busy day ahead celebrating. I came home and got on with things in studio with a spring in my step.

And were on our way with Angelina in the lead.

Bit rough, but we have a deal.

Icy cold and loving it.

Morning message to my daughter.
Friday, we worked from home and I did odds and sods to finish off the week. Joanne was cooking up a storm in the kitchen with Lentil Bread and also a Sweet Potato, Chick Pea, Spinach and egg loaf. We also got some mince curry on the go as Friday night supper was vetkoek and mince.

Joannes yummy Roasted tomato mexican sauce and bread with lots of butter.
Joanne and I decide to go for a long overdue Thai Massage which was also awesome. It took us both two days to recover, but it solved our back and neck issues.
Saturday was a slow morning. I applied some clear lacquer over the gold on the Cape Diem pieces. You need to coat them as finger prints turn the gold paint green.
We arranged a goodbye lunch with Shombie and his wife Anna. He wanted steak, so we took them to Bertus Bassons’s Restaurant ONGETEM in Kloof Street. The food was good and the company as well.

Shombie, Anna, Luke, Lucerne, Joanne and I.
We took a slow drive home past Checkers to get some supplies for the week.
Sunday morning Angelina was off to dance for the day and we went for a long beach walk all the way to the river. It was freezing cold but worth it. I got a fire going when we got back and Joanne and I started planning our Ballito trip.
I tried to get my blog done but there was so much to plan I only managed to get it done this morning (Monday).

Joanne's Monday morning picture of our beautiful mountain.
Thank you for reading and viewing.
