Monday we worked on the bronzes as Ruan from the Lost Wax foundry said he can cast them for me.

Ana with about 3 coats of wood primer on. Each time she gets sanded down to a smooth as possible. Once done she will get a coat of spray paint.

Still not smooth enough.

The whole week the moon was in full mode and treating us to beautiful Mornings.

Another short week this week. I did go for a full medical on Tuesday. You know the one where you walk on a treadmill and get lots of stuff stuck to you. The good news in that I am 100% healthy. Weight, blood, cholesterol, prostate, everything is 100% normal. So that made me happy. Scratching the side of the car on a concrete pole didn’t make me happy. Blah blah blah.

I popped into Deckle Edge for some supplies and a few other places. Then I set up shop in my 2^nd home Woodstock Brewery. Andre was there and treated me to one of his speciality burgers. It was delicious.

Then I picked Joanne up and we headed home. It was rather cold this week in Cape Town. Bright and Sunny, but cold.

The other good news is the first of the Muizenberg Beach hut works are done. Here is a few photos and I will post the link at the bottom of this page.

They are all really good, but for some reason, this is my favourite, so far.

This is the largest of the works so far.

I wanted to do this to compare the works. The work on the left is done on Muizenberg Beach Huts wood (R45,000) and the one on the right is an original on canvas R350,000). As you know my canvas works are very scarce and limited hence the value. That is why I am releasing works on wood, which are more affordable.

The Work on the left, Candy Ana, has been painted over a green cat. If you look closely you can see the silhouette in the sunlight. I am repurposing my older less popular works, cos I can.

Lunch. gnocchi, pesto and lots of parmesan cheese.

Hendrik and I managed to set up the planter boxes as we get ready for Spring.

My dear followers, this is all made from our kitchen scraps and garden waste. And the soil in the bag is made by our worms in the 20 worm farms I have. How cool is that.

Veggie garden is looking a little sad, but it's the middle of winter, so it is what it is. We reworked the worm farms today. We decided to make a few proper professional wooden ones soon that stands off the ground.

This stuff is like gold and gonna make the veggies and herbs grow like mad.

Wednesday, we finished off the first of the gold girls on paper. We just could not get the gold right at the printers so I decided to hand paint the opposite side of the paper, kinda giving it a story to tell.

Thursday came and went. Most of the day was spent photographing and cataloguing the Muizenberg Beach Hut Works.

Joanne worked from home on Friday, so that was nice. I once again spent most of my time cataloguing. The guys left early and we set up backgammon and cards on the deck for the rest of the day as it was a peach of a day. I even opened up all the doors in the house so the warm air could waft through the house.

Each hut was painted different colours over the years. Some of them even have four different colours.

The VW Caddy looking all brand new and ready for sale. Quite rewarding fixing your own car. Reminded me of my dad as he was the one who taught me all these life skills as a kid.

Saturday we had cabin fever and Joanne suggest we head up the West Coast and go see that cheese farm in Velddrift we have been meaning to go there. It's called Kokerboom Kaas. They really do make delicious cheese. 10 different ones. We bought some back to share with Studio Clients and the likes.

We did do an hours work for the auditors. It's that time of the year when the tax man comes knocking asking me to fill in a million forms. Blah blah blah.

The rest of the afternoon was a repeat of Friday. Backgammon and cards on the deck with homemade margaritas. We watched a movie and had an early night. 

Well, its Sunday now and it’s the 2^nd of August and both our phones were pining in the night as the banks were taking all our money. Ha ha.

So, I got a fire going as it is nippy today. Joanne is shopping on her phone, how convenient while I type to you and do a bit of Social Media.

There is no Sunday lunch this week as the kids are all doing their own things. So were gonna do a braai and have a lazy Sunday.
