Today is Joanne and my 1 year wedding anniversary. One year on and still happily married and in love. We celebrated with a stay over in Paarl at the Grande Roche Hotel.

Me and My beautiful wife Joanne.
Ok, Monday was awesome as I had my first paying studio tour. Yes, people actually paid me to come see me talk about my career. It was all arranged by Nicole and Reinhard from Germany. They are tour guides that bring out tour groups from Germany every year. They thoroughly enjoyed the talk.

Sold.

Also sold. Love it when my unique works sell.
I also sold the first of many pieces from the wood from Cape Diem Lodge. The small tree went all the way to Switzerland. Danilo agreed to take it for me, so I dropped it at him and said my goodbye’s as he was going back to Lugano.

Sold.
Tuesday was a town run. I did spend a lot of time at SHIFT coffee doing all sorts of admin. I had a long list as I was behind from last week being end of the month stuff. Then I did a run around stationery etc.
Wednesday I popped into town again. I had to pick up prints from ORMS as they do my prints now because I cannot figure out my printer. Blah blah blah. I still think it’s the paper. After ORMS, I did lots more errands and then picked Joanne up and we headed off to Hout Bay Gallery to do a stock take with Marika.
Then we hit the traffic all the way from Hout Bay to Melkbos. WAZE said 90 minutes. Ha, not with Richard Scott in the house. Teaching WAZE a thing or two. We were home in an hour.

Frank and his family popped in for a Studio Tour. One of those clients that just knock at the door and end up buying art. Love it.
Thursday was a rainy day and a studio day. The weather is changing and winter is coming which is awesome. I got some road signs done and basically spent the day in the studio.

My view.

Studio looking neat and tidy. all the paint.

Ana and Mandy.

Some new stickers in the house.

I decided to make a few different shades of the Green Tree.

My Apple Green Tree.

My Thyme Green Tree

My Lime Green Tree.
Friday Joanne worked form home. At 11ish we decided to go into town and fetch more prints from ORMS, then I picked up some graffiti spray paint from Shelflife and then we did the Bread order at Flour Mill for Chad and Amy’s engagement this coming weekend. Then we popped into see the Tailor to fix a few odds and ends with jeans and dresses, then home to chill.

I popped in to see Andre (far right), and he was doing a tasting of Nicks beer. So, he asked me for my opinion and I was off again.

Joanne and I found a nice little deli that sells KOKERBOOM cheese at the Famous Fish around the corner from us. Delicious.

Nomm Nomm. It didn't even last a day.
Saturday morning early, Richie popped in to drop off some key-rings on his way to work.
We went for a nice beach walk and then headed off to lunch at JEWELL'S at the Spice Route. It was great to catch up with Neil and Tina and lunch at JEWELS. Neil is by far the best Charcuterie artist in the world.

Road Tripping.

Beautiful location.

Before.

After. All done.
After lunch and some goodbyes, we headed off to Grande Roche where I booked for Joanne and I to celebrate out 1st Wedding Anniversary.

The Manor House.

My Beautiful wife Joanne.
It’s a beautiful setting in Paarl of all places.
We soaked up the Hotel and chilled for two days.

We stoped off back at Jewell's to see Neil and pick up the Charcuterie for Saturdays engagement party. Here Neil is giving Joanne his Pickled Cauliflower recipe.
Its Sunday now and I am still in catch up mode here at home.
Thank you for reading and watching.
