Monday morning was nice and misty. I saw Joanne off and got stuck into the Muizenberg Beach Hut works. The new stickers arrived so we cut them up as well. Do you have your Richard Scott stickers?
The rest of Monday was a blur. We did do some cooking when Joanne got home but were in bed at 8pm.

Yeah, I finally have a presence in Lugano, Switzerland.

So chuffed.

Spot the 3D prints in Lugano.
Tuesday was brain fog day. It felt like I was inside a washing machine. I saw Joanne off and lay in for an extra hour. I eventually got myself up and going. Nonetheless by 12 I felt normal, so I jumped on my Vespa and headed into town, as Enrica had invited us to a lovely lunch at her apartment in the centre of town.
Danilo asked me to pick him up. He was a bit surprised to see me on my Vespa but obliged to jumped on. We zipped through all the CBD traffic, which was cool.
At Enrica’s, I met Martin, an old collector of my art and lots of new people from around the world. I invited them all for a studio tour Saturday and they agreed.
Enrica made us a delicious ostrich stew with mash potato and a yummy homemade salad.
Then we were off. Luckely for me I was on my Vespa.
Wednesday morning, I popped into town and sat at SHIFT Espresso doing the Sabrina Love WhatsApp Charity auction that was happening on 4th March. I did get some banking done as it was 25th, which is pay day.
Then I popped out to Kalk Bay to the Gallery to drop off some art. I didn’t stay long as I had to go all the way to MAKRO to get some catering supplies as the Studio Tours are picking up and we are entertaining more now than before.
Then I collected some mounting board and dropped off the washing line cable to be repaired.
By then, it was time to pick Joanne up and go visit Mrs Schneider.
I'm sitting in the canteen typing to you now while Joanne popped in.
After our visit we popped over the neck to Sea Point Gallery to do a stock take with Henry and then headed home.

3D prints at You and I Art Gallery. These 3D prints are so far ahead of their time, that one day someone will wish they had bought them in 2026.

This is one of my artworks in Henry's Gallery.

Henry put a Richard Scott sticker on a cheap fan. He says he gets asked "Does Richard do fans now as well?" LOL

Slowly taking over the world. One sticker at a time.

On our way home. This road sign that inspired me to do this work:

Thursday morning, I woke up to see the one Muizenberg Artwork didn’t take to the White Nugloss paint I used. Strange how the Graffiti spray paint adheres to anything. Nonetheless, it was a lesson learned. So I either have to find a better white acrylic or decant the spray paint. I cannot use the stencils as the wood is layered on top of each other which creates gaps for over spray.

Early morning photos sent to Angelina. Still dark outside at 6am

The Muizenberg Beach huts series needs attention.

A collector sent me this beautiful piece she has framed.

Angelina sent me this at UCT Cape Town. So cool.
The rest of Thursday was Consignment notes to Galleries. There were a lot of holes in them but now were 100% up to date.
Friday was the start of a busy weekend. We were hosting Daniel and Bianca and Daniels parents for typical West Coast crayfish braai on the deck.
We both did some potting around the house then we prepped for the guests. I prepped the crayfish and the sirloin and lit the fire while ‘Joanne made some small salads from the garden.

Bianca took some photos for a post on the Cape Diem Lodge Facebook page. Here I am explaining my process.

Daniels Dad, Rüdiger giving up his doctor career to take up art, I inspired him so much.

Rüdiger, Bianca and Wilma, Daniels mom.

This piece was done on 200 year old wood Daniel gave me from the Cape Diem Lodge roof renovations. Richard Scott turning trash into art.

This piece with Ana was done on an old door in the loft.

At it again. My 2nd favourite hobby.

Lobster and bread two ways. One with rolled up balls of dough cooking on the walls of the fire and the other is bread fried on the coals in olive oil. Only cook one side and cook till brown.

Zoom Zoom.

Leftover's from the table thrown in with some sirloin to add flavour. Sirloin two ways. Loving the flames.

That colour.

The Girls, and.....

The Guys.

Bye Bye.

See you guys soon. Always wave good bye from the door. Not sure where I learnt that.
It was great to meet Daniels dad and mom and give them the studio tour. They even bought a beautiful work on paper.
Then it was time to get cooking. Everyone loved it.
They guys left around 4pm and we cleaned up and put our feet up.
Saturday was repeat, Enrica was coming over with 3 friends from Switzerland.
A 45minute studio tour and then back in the braai pit with more crayfish and meat. I actually love doing it. It is quite entertaining cooking on coals and making impressive flames.

Urs looking on as Stephan also considered giving up his Top Level Banking job to become an artist.

Crayfish Braai, round number two.

Joanne always says "Control, Alt, Repeat" Richard Scott.

Just as everyone thinks the're done, you throw all the cook-able leftovers in a pan on the coals and make a yummy sauce to dip your bread in.
The guys all bought Art from me which is very cool.
When the Train Station was empty, we chilled on the couch and lit a fire as it was a bit chilly.
It was a good idea as there was rain in the middle of the night and it cooled the house down, but the fire kept it at the right temperature.
Joanne wanted to go swim in the ocean, so we dragged ourselves down in North Easterly blowing gale-force winds to the beach and swam. When the wind blows from the North East, you know the ocean is gonna be warm.
As I sit here Sunday morning typing to you the door is open so we can hear the sea, yet the fire is burning in front of me. I'm just chilling while Joanne is doing some research on Dubai and the happenings there.

Crayfish stock. Sunday Afternoon.

Joanne sent me this pic on our Wedding day 8th March 2025, almost a year ago. She did so as she was trawling our wedding photos to copy Bertus Basson Harvest table for Chad and Amy's engagement party on 14th March

Nomm Nomm.
I am gonna get my book out and chill for the rest of the day.
Thank you for reading and viewing.
