Monday was Yom Kippur, so Joanne got the day off while I did Monday stuff. I started another Candy Girl Back Gammon Board. Joanne helped me clear out the studio a little as we get ready for season.

I had a client looking for one of these works and I ended up finding the series I did in 2023.

Red/White/Blue. (UK, USA, France, Netherlands....trying to think of other countries with Red White and Blue in their flags)

Red/Orange.

Yellow.
Tuesday I finished the worm box made up of Muizenberg Beach Hut wood. It actually looks like a real Muizenberg Beach Hut. I will share all the photos with you next week and I want to put together a cool video on it.

Had to share, loving the gradient change from green to white with a touch of magenta. Chopped spring onions from our garden.

Lunch with ingredients Joanne foraged from the garden.

Tuesday night sirloin skewers on the fire.
Wednesday I had such a lekker day as Hendrik and I did a veggie garden make over as Spring has sprung. Even cooler was the light rain in the night and the lightning and thunderstorms.

We have so much compost made from our own kitchen scraps and garden cuttings. We made up 100 bags and planted Guava, Strawberries, and Granadilla from one we got off a plant down the road. Spot the Onions, spinach and fennel.

Even the indoor plants got a re-plant. Avocados, Paw Paw and I even have a Litchi tree growing.
I worked on a concept to paint a E-TYPE Jaguar. So, let’s see how that goes. Which one do you prefer?

Gold Girls.

Simple Red Ana.

Candy Option.
Angelina moved in this week which was nice.
Thursday was a public holiday in South Africa. Heritage Day. For some reason everybody calls it Braai Day. So, we decided to braai some chicken on the braai and just have a nice resting day.

Mixing my own Braai Spice:
- Smoked Paprika - 2 TBSP
- Crushed Coriander - 2 TBSP
- Barbecue Spice - 1 TBSP
- Garlic Powder - 1 TBSP
- Cumin - 1/2 tsp
- Dried Herbs - 2 tsp
- Chilli - 1 tsp
- Salt - 3 tsp
- Lemon Pepper - 1 tsp
- Cayenne Pepper - 1 tsp
- Sugar - 1 tsp

I ran out of Kameel Doring wood. Luckily I found some charcoal under the fire pit that one of the kids must have left there. Not like me.
Friday was a weird day, but I got stuck into the Dubai Art website with Ben. It is currently live and available only in Dubai.

Friday night was burger night. Check out my one.

Cobus Kellerman sent me a photo of his storage and a Richard Scott Splash Vespa.
Saturday, Joanne and I had a nice long walk on the beach. We did some studio time together on art for the Auction. Then then the rest of the day was Backgammon on the deck. Light a fire as it was getting nippy and chill.

Backgammon Saturdays. Joanne, who is playing white, just rolled her way to a win.

This little fella got stuck in the house behind the blinds.
Sunday was the same. Chilled and lazy. Angelina had some friends over to help her unpack all her stuff and get sorted. We didn’t see much of her as she is studying. I put the resin onto the new backgammon board. There were bubbles appearing in the resin so I googled it and you can run a blow torch over the surface it releases the surface tension and the bubbles rise and pop. It worked. Good job I have a blow torch. I now have two as Richie's one is stored here for now.
Anyway, Joanne just came up the stairs with her hands full of fennel, spinach, carrots, and a whole load of other stuff foraged in the veggie garden.
So, I will sign off and plan for next week.
Thank you for reading and watching.
