Richard Scott Weekly Blog - 4th October 2026

I did it again this week. I only started typing my Blog today, Sunday. So now I'm stuck with my phone and diary to see what I got up to this week. I remember going into town one day and I remember working extensively in the vegetable garden.

I did do a lot of circular works and also started and finished a large graffiti piece.

Saturday and Sunday, Joanne and I took a long walk on the beach to the river and back.

I still haven’t done the video of the Muizenberg Beach Hut Worm farm. I will get that done this week and share it as promised.

Here is the blog in photos:

Sending Angelina my Monday morning photo of me drinking my coffee out of my own coffee cup

A client in Addis Ababa sent me some photos of my work he bought and took there. How cool is that.

And another one. I remember this from 20 years ago.

I have decided to redo this piece and put a house in the tree and call it "My Tree House".

This one as well. Can you believe I did these in 2005. Where were you in 2005.

Tearing the edges off these Silkscreen cats I did in 2010, believe it or not. Yes I silkscreened them myself when I had all the equipment back then.

This is the final piece I spoke of last week. We finished it this week and sent it off.

Finally got to do the "Circular" Lugano pieces.

Found these in an old box. They are test prints for the cushions I make. Joanne washed them for me as I use them for the small bags that hold the Backgammon Pucs.

I acquired my first William Thompson this week. Here's to many more from this young aspiring artist.

Yes, first harvest of carrots. There gonna be used in the making of Joanne's famous Bolognaise sauce.

Found these two works I did in 2001. Long before I ever thought I would one day sell a painting for R1milion. They haven't even faded. How cool is that.

Bowl of Oranges.

Bowl of Lemons.

I was trawling my phone for blog photos and found these. There from my "Daily Diary Sketch" I do every day. Theses are from 2018.

My new favourite series "Circular". Its where I repurpose something that would of ordinarily been thrown away. And turning these parcel packages into art and money excites me. There my favourite of the "Circular" works.

Here is one that Ignatius Mark's posted me all the way form Philips Town.

Good to see Oyster catchers on the beach this morning.

Thank you for reading and watching.
