Monday I was home and in studio. First day of me running the show solo. It was great to get stuck in.

Photo of Joanne and I at last week's function.

Centre Stage. Auctioneer Arielle doing her bit. The Richard Scott Vespa went for R280 000.

Monday Mornings.

I decided to turn this piece of tarpaulin into art. It was about to be thrown out. It was used at The Church as a drop sheet.

My weekly dose of Circular Art. Turning every day recycling into money.

Photo-shoot time. Richard Scott Gin and Red Ana decanter.

The Deli in Cape Town did a cool post of the old Cups from 2005. Here is the link to the 2020 version.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday I was at Mervyn as Richie was cashing in on his birthday gift from Joanne and I. A week at Mervyn Gers making a tea set. I Vespa-ed in as I didn’t know how long the day was going to be.

Andy showing Richie the ropes.

1st Cup done.

I came in to this piece, broken. My Bad, I should of moved it myself.

Lunch time. Showing Richie where you get the best Steak and Salad sandwich in Paarden Island.

Round two. Rocky showing Richie the ropes this time for the tea pot part.

Home time for us two.

Day two, Richie throwing a teapot lid.

Quite the potter.

It looks easy, but it is not.

Wednesday. I made this pot in one day on Tuesday. I have got it waxed. Now we just wait and see phase two, the kiln.

Standing alone.

Putting the first four into the kiln. Here I am emptying the Vase 1.

Ta daaaaaaaaaa. holding thumbs.

Thursday I decided to re-do that broken Vase 2.

Sketch on a LUGANO bin liner I got from Danilo in Lugano.

Getting there.

I was browsing my old PDF catalogues. How many of you know that i did this series 20 years ago? Here is the link.
Friday, Joanne worked from home as did I on the The Somerset Hospital Charity WhatsApp auction catalogue. I then ran into town with Hendrik to hang the last paintings at The Church. I then popped back into Mervyn to finish the vase I started on Thursday. Back to fetch Hendrik and sign off on The Church and then home.

Friday Sunsets.

Daniella sent me a photo of this Vespa I did way back. Also for a Charity auction.
Saturday Joanne and I decided to do something we have been meaning to do for five years. We took the day off and went to the West Coast National park to see the flowers and swim in the sea. Like the rest of this week’s blog, here are some photos.

Me and my beautiful wife and soulmate, Joanne. Enjoying a date day out.

We do live in a very special part of the world. West Coast National Park Lagoon.

The photos don't do the flowers justice.

There we are again.

Pit stop for some Padstal supplies. Padstal is Afrikaans for Road Stall. The kinda place you get stuff that only your granny can make.

Loving the attention to detail. Typical rustic look. Plastic cutlery and tin mug.

Rooster Koek. Translated Grilled Bread. A typical South African dish. We opted for the simple jam and butter option. It was delicious.

We found these ice-creams we use to eat as kids. Whoaaaaaaa.

On our way home we stopped off to get Craig a gift for Rosh Hashanah and Angelique a bottle of her favourite wine for her birthday.
Sunday we were both lazy but did manage to get up and do a beach run. Then a quick walk to the shop to get some weekly supplies and that is that.

Beach run before the storm comes in.

Sunday lunch. Vetkoek and Mince. Another Afrikaans word, translated: Fat Cake. Basically, white bread dough, deep fried. I used Bertus Bassons recipe with mielie meal as flour.

Joanne's Curry Lental stew. Nomm Nomm.

Best Sunday lunch ever. Kids loved it aswell.
Nice and short this week with lots of photos.
Thanks for reading.
