Monday I got a visit from Thomas and Melvin from Germany.
They were part of the German studio tour from last Monday.
They popped in to collect the pieces they ordered.
You saw the green trees on last week's Blog.

Thomas and Mervin, two new collectors all the way from Germany and Sweden
After Thomas and Mervin left a huge heatwave engulfed Cape Town for 4 days and that’s all that everyone was talking about.
Like the English and their Grey weather.
Blah blah blah.
We took advantage of the heat and got some art done.

Recycling a create that came in from Walkerbay, Hermanus.
Tuesday was another awesome day.
It started with some admin and then a studio tour with Sabrina and her Friend Diana.
Sabrina is looking to start collecting Richard Scott art and has her eye on a special piece.

Sharing Morning pics with my daughter Angelina.

Right back at ya, Angelina.

Sabrina and Diane with her newly acquired Checkers Sixty 60 Ana.
After Sabrina left I hopped onto my Vespa and headed into town. I had a 2pm meeting with Frank Kilbourn.
It was great to spend time with Frank and run a few ideas past him. He guided me in the right direction with regards to the secondary market.
After Frank it was back on the vespa and head home.

Yes, I got the pic. The man himself, Frank Kilbourn.

I studied this artist in art class in school: Eugene Labuschgne.
I popped into Woodstock Brewery as Andre was doing the first tasting of the Belgian Double “Sweet Mary Jane” which is brewed in Spent Wine barrels from Vin De Constance barrels made at Klein Constantia.
It was delicious and also good to catch up with Tinus and Ben the brewers.

Andre, Ben and head brewer Tinus.
Then back home to a lovely dinner Joanne prepared for us and a dip in the pool to cool down.

Sherine, from Mervyn Gers, sent me this photo.
Wednesday was a proper studio day. I managed to get all the small loose ends tied up. The stuff that you just cannot get done.
Renata and her daughter Adella, came for a studio tour. They are from the Czech Republic.
She added another piece to her collection.
I carried on doing all the small nitty gritty things around the studio. Let me go see if I can take a few photos.

Here is the beautiful artwork created by the kids at Sabrina Love and me.

Sold. Only prints available now.

I sold a few Pool pillows to a client in Pretoria. Here are the options.
Thursday I went into town for the second time but this time I went with Joanne.
I don’t complain but the traffic is horrendous.
I’m contemplating starting a business or App and sell it to the Council on small things like traffic light timings. Our Mayor is so active. I’m sure he will entertain me and my genius ideas.
After I dropped Joanne I sat at SHIFT espresso bar and did all my banking and admin and daily Diary Sketch.

Me and my beautiful wife. Joanne decided to change our Profile pics.
Then I popped into to see Idille and Ashley at FRAMED. It was great to catch up with Idille and also talk a little business. They treat me like family.

The FRAMED gang in the decision making room.

Meet Fely, my biggest fan at FRAMED.
After Framed I popped over the neck to go see Henry in Sea Point and drop off some prints with Mauve the sales lady. She told me she has a client interested in the small 30 x 30 piece on Canvas. That was great news.

Summer Fling, from 2007. The last one of nine in the series.
After Mauve, I popped over the road and had a quick catch up with Angellique. I have not seen her in ages.

Angelique and I at Kleinskies catching up.
After Angelique I popped over to see Sean as he is doing a small framing job for a client.

Meet Sean.

Spotted these at Sean's.
Then I popped past to Allied Fiberglass to get some resin for a Backgammon board I am making up.

The crazy Janet at Allied Fiberglass. I have known here since I started building my house in 2008. And if you know me, I love fiberglass and resin.
Then a quick pop in to see Andre and get some beer for Chad and Amy’s engagement party on Saturday.

Brad and Oliver happy that I gifted them a Richard Scott TYVEK wallet.
Then off to pick Joanne up and head home via Checkers to get some odds and sods.
Friday was a great day.
Joanne worked from home and we got to sleep in an extra hour. Once the guys came in we got stuck into packing the Sabrina Love auction items and then it was time to pop out and fetch some blank Road Signs and then Banks to pick up the crockery for the engagement party.

Popped in to see Richie on our way.

Richie and I used to own FOH. Great memories.
Once back I got stuck into the artwork for a client in Czech. Then I sent my canvas supplier a few photos of the backgammon box I needed and then it was time to move all the furniture around for tomorrow.

Ana in Spray-paint on the outside.

Sending measurements to Shree.

Spot the piece from 2002. Yikes. Still one of my top 10 favourites.

Off to a Plett Client. Do you have your Richard Scott TYVEK wallet?
Joanne popped out to get her hair cut and I got stuck into banking and my usual long TO DO checklist I punish myself with.

Concept drawings.
Joanne came home and we had a nice steak and garden salad on the deck. The weather had cooled enough to enjoy our supper on the deck.
It was nice just to relax after a really busy week. Aren’t (if that’s a word) my weeks always busy? As my Mom would say.
We did get to play cards on the deck after enjoying the pool to cool down.
Saturday we got up nice and late. We were feeling guilty as we haven't run on the beach for over two week. Eeeek.
Nonetheless we didn’t have time to do that either as we had to get going to prep for the Engagement Party.
Joanne popped out to go get the food from Tracy at “A Taste of Klass” in Observatory. Tracy makes the best Spanakopita and Potato Latkes. Nomm Nomm. Even the Dolmade's and Bourekas (Small mushroom pies) they were Nomm Nomm
After Tracy, Joanne got the bread and headed home.
Amy and Chad popped in early to set up for their party while I sliced up the charcuterie I got from Neil Jewell last week.
The Party went well and Amy and Chad celebrated in style.

Amy and Chad, the Celebration couple with Willen.

Great to see the pool in use.

And the lounge.

Angelina and the cake table.

Always great to chat to Candice.

Pool time.
We cleaned up and headed off to the Lodge in Green Point for the night to let the kids let their hair down and have a party.
We checked in and caught up with Cape Diem manager Sam and then headed down to Mano’s for a supper with Renata and her daughter and a artwork handover. Mano’s is always great. Good food and even better vibe. I had a good catch up with Sean the manager. I haven’t seen him in a while.

Checked in at Cape Diem Lodge.

Hmmmmmm, I see wall space.

Spot the Scott.

Renata and Adella, Joanne and I.

Teaching Renata how to turn the MANO's brown paper table cloth into money.
Sunday was sleep in. Nice breakfast on the terrace of the Lodge. It's nice to be served for a change.
I am sitting here after breakfast on the same deck typing to you and going through my phone checking the weekly photos while Joanne reads her VISI magazine.

Morning.
Were gonna head out in an hour or so. So, I will sign off and add the blog and photos to the website and post to you.
Thank you for reading and watching.
