Monday was copy paste from last week. I did manage to deep clean my very expensive Hansgrohe Rain shower head. It took Hendrik and I all of 15 minutes to remove and dismantle it. You know me, I like to tinker.

James sent me a photo of Kaizen Fine Art Gallery in Surrey, UK. Halloween time. How much is the Grey Ana and Magenta Mandy 3D-Prints in the window?

Orgasmic Joyride in the "Black Room".

Champagne Tree getting an inspection by inci-winci spider.

Hendrik and I re-installing and adjusting the expensive shower-head.

We used a mixture of vinegar and bi-carb of soda to do the trick. Works like a bomb to clean out the limescale.

Signing and cataloguing a "My Red Ana" print.

Edition number 43/47. Getting close to the end of this edition which was first printed in 2020.

A request for a valuation came in. This work also need a good clean. This work is from 2008. That makes it 13 years old.
Tuesday was town day to meet up with Simba at Robin Sprong to proof the wallets 2nd draft. Then I had some time to spare, so I went for a long overdue haircut and some threading, before my 10am meeting with Ilios Travel.

Proof reading and checking the TYVEK wallets with Simba at Robin Sprong.

Spot the Scott.

Started a trend.

Coffee and cakes for the Ilios meeting.
Ilios want to use my artwork for the look and feel of their website. So, I am looking forward to partnering with them on a cool new venture.

Got to meet the owner of Ilios, Brendhan and discuss a co-lab.

Help me buy this building Elon. I wanna make it into the TATE of Cape Town.
After Ilios, I popped into to see Henry in Sea Point to do a catch up.

Using Henry's space as my office for a moment to catch up.
Then a quick pop in to see Daniel at Cape Diem lodge for a catch up and chat about the Porsche Club.

The man himself, Daniel. Spot the gold Ana.
Now I am sitting in Joanne's boardroom at work typing to you and I have time to kill.
Joanne decided to treat me to a lunch and wanted to go to Bertus Basson's new restaurant Ongetem. We shared the mussels and grilled hake. It was delicious. Then home in the thick of the traffic. Blah.

Got the photo at The Hilton. Me and the love of my life and my beautiful wife, Joanne.

Nice setting at Ongetem. Bertus and his Harlies :)

Got the other photo.
Wednesday was another admin day. I caught myself scrolling on Instagram, so I deleted it. LOL. Strange how it becomes addictive. I did manage to spend another day in the studio.
On Thursday some water cut steel stencils arrived for a collector. Frans got stuck into spraying them gold. I decided to clean out the studio for a change. It is looking a bit messy.

Frans adding layers of gold graffiti spray paint.

Zoom Zoom.

Richie coming into Kimberley to land on route from Johannesburg to Cape Town. He was flying in a 4 seater for a client. Proud dad.
Friday I did a little bit of web design early morning. Joanne came home and we headed out to town to attend Jacques Le Grange's fashion show.
We popped into Ongetem for the 2nd time in one week and had a light snack before the show. We attended the fashion show early and watched three other designers. It was quite really cool to be at our first real fashion show.
We bumped into Camila and Paulo and Amanda, all friends of Jacques and collectors of my art.

The show is about to begin.

Ta daaaaaaa. Loving the the neon colours Jacques used.

Red Carpet photo.
We skipped on the after party as we had a full Saturday the next day. We were home at 11pm and in bed.
Saturday morning, we went for a beach run, and I noticed Strauss Auction House was having a few talks, so I booked for the 11am one where they discussed, in depth, about their up and coming Auction of International artists. Ian Hunter and Kayleen Wrigley did an amazing job of presenting a selection of the works.

Ian giving us the lowdown on the Irma Stern.

R7million. One day!

Got the pick of this awesome Lionel Smit.

And this rally cool Robert Hodgins.

On of my favourite artist: Takashi Murakami.
We caught up with Kayleen and then bumped into Gabriel and his family, a collector of my art who was also interested in the presentation.
Joanne and I took our time to wonder around the art and WOW, it was so amazing to be immersed in their world.

Rob, Gabriel and Aris.

Great Photo from Gabriel.
After that we headed off to have lunch with Joanne's brother Paul at Bacini’s. It was great to catch up with him.
Then we went to go see if Daniel and Bianca were home. They were taking a break at The Dark Horse, so we popped in for an hour with them and a catch up.

Paul and Joanne.

Joanne, Bianca and Daniel.
Then we were off to the opening of renowned Johannesburg Gallerist Candice Berman. She opened up a new space in the Silo District near Zeits Mocca, The Waterfront with a show called "Contours Unveiled".
It was a great opening and great to see and catch up with Candice.

Candice opening her gallery with a very moving story. We wish her the greatest of success in Cape Town. Pop in and have a look.

Candice did a really cool concept of wrapping all the art in bubble wrap and then unwrapped it on the evening to create some excitement.

There was a performance by artist Mandy Johnston.

Just in case we forgot where we parked. :)
Then we were off home after a long day.
Sunday was another beach run, and we decided to do a basic Sunday lunch with the kids. Toasted cheese rolls and tomato soup.
Sunday afternoon was chill and planning for the busy week. We did manage to book a few days away in November for Plettenberg Bay and we need to go see Suzy and Tony Lubner for some business. News to follow.
Thanks for reading. I am gonna get some tomato soup going for the toasted cheese.
Until next week
